FY 2010 Appropriations Requests

The federal appropriations process provides an opportunity for local communities to receive federal funding in order to provide much needed services to the residents of Illinois’ 14th Congressional District.

As your Representative, I have the opportunity to make requests to the House Appropriations Committee on your behalf to obtain funding for many different important projects from across the district. The Committee then selects which requests will receive federal funding.

As we begin the Fiscal Year 2010 Appropriations process, I encourage you to evaluate your budget priorities and submit an appropriations request to my office. In my continuing effort to make our government more transparent, my office will publicly disclose all appropriations requests I submit, and will provide an explanation of the purpose and value of each earmark.

It is important to note that the submission of an Appropriations request does not guarantee that the request will receive federal funding.

Please submit your request by completing and returning the form below by Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Any request submitted after Wednesday, March 4, 2009 will not be considered for funding.
