Rep. Foster Votes to Pass the Consumer Financial Protection Agency Act Out of Committee

Today, Rep. Bill Foster (IL-14) voted to pass H.R. 3126, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency Act, out of the House Financial Services Committee. He released the following statement.
“For those angered and outraged by the business practices and lack of oversight, today marks the first step of many needed to restore consumers’ faith and confidence,” said Foster. “Today we have acted on our promise of change by abandoning the lax and abusive practices of the past and have taken a step towards instilling a new set of rules to protect our families.”
