Foster Statement on Five Year Anniversary of Henry Pratt Shooting in Aurora
Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) released the following statement on the fifth anniversary of the mass shooting that took place at the Henry Pratt Company in Aurora, Illinois:
“Today is a somber one for the Aurora community as we honor the memory of the victims of the horrific shooting that took place five years ago. We stand united in our support for the families who are still mourning the loved ones who were stolen from them on that day. We also remain grateful for the first responders from Aurora and around the western suburbs who rushed into harm’s way to prevent additional loss of life on that tragic day.”
On February 15, 2019, five innocent people were killed and six police officers were injured when a shooter who was illegally in possession of a firearm opened fire at the Henry Pratt Company warehouse in Aurora.
Last February, Foster introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives to honor the victims of the mass shooting.
