Foster Announces Community Project Funding Request Selections for Fiscal Year 2025
Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) announced his support for 15 community projects in Illinois’ 11th Congressional District as part of the House Appropriations Committee's Community Project Funding (CPF) program. The projects listed have been submitted to the House Appropriations Committee for consideration as part of the FY 2025 government spending bills.
The CPF program is a continuing initiative first introduced for FY 2022. This process allows Members of Congress to request direct funding for projects that benefit the communities they represent.
Under guidelines issued by the Appropriations Committee, each Representative may request funding for up to 15 projects in their community for FY 2025. Projects are restricted to a limited number of federal funding streams, and only state and local governments and eligible non-profit entities are permitted to receive funding. Additional information and guidelines on Community Project Funding is available here.
In compliance with House Rules and Committee requirements, Congressman Foster has certified that he and his immediate family have no financial interest in any of the projects selected. Links to these certification forms are available here.
"Ever since I was first elected to Congress, it has been one of my top priorities to ensure the communities I represent receive their fair share of federal resources,” said Foster. “It wasn’t easy choosing only 15 projects from the many worthy submissions we received, but I’m confident that these initiatives will directly benefit the residents of the 11th district and strengthen our communities for decades to come. I look forward to working with the Appropriations Committee to deliver this important funding."
