Labor Issues

I proudly support the rights of workers to collectively bargain for better wages and better benefits, and I am proud that Illinois became the first state to protect those rights in our state’s constitution. I’m committed to protecting those rights at the federal level and will oppose efforts to weaken the power workers have when they organize.
During my time in Congress, I have been a strong supporter of the Protecting the Right to Organize Act, which would introduce meaningful, enforceable penalties for companies and executives that violate workers’ rights. It would also expand workers’ collective bargaining rights and strengthen workers’ access to fair union elections.
