Foster Continues Call For Long-Term Transportation Bill
Washington, DC— Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) is continuing to call for a long-term transportation funding bill. Foster voted for H.R. 3038, the Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2015, a short-term fix that will extend the Highway Trust Fund through December.
“I’m extremely disappointed that House Republicans were not able to offer a long-term plan, but I voted for H.R. 3038 to prevent a disruption of funding that could have halted construction projects in Illinois and throughout the country,” said Foster. “I’m hopeful that a long-term bill can be passed in the next five months, and will continue to fight for much needed investments in our nation’s infrastructure.”
On Monday, Foster did a tour of Will County to learn about local transportation needs. Read about it here.
