Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Bill Foster welcomed Oswego High School student Andrea Allen and her family to Washington, DC. Allen won the 2015 Congressional Art Competition for Illinois' 11th Congressional District with her picture "Allison," a portrait of her sister.
Allen's piece will hang in the Cannon Tunnel leading to the United States Capitol for the next year, where Members of Congress and thousands of tourists will see it.
"Every year, I'm astounded by the talent of our student-artists," Foster said. "I look forward to seeing Andrea's picture when I am on my way to vote."
