Rep. Foster Meets With Downers Grove Mayor Tully and Bolingbrook Mayor Claar

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) met with Downers Grove Mayor Martin Tully and Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar.  Foster toured the Village of Downers Grove with Mayor Tully and local officials including Fire Chief James Jackson, Chief of Police Robert Porter and Village Manager David Fieldman.  

On his tour of Downers Grove, Foster examined some of the community’s innovative green energy initiatives including solar powered light posts and alternative energy vehicle fleet.

As the first representative of the new 11th Congressional District, Congressman Foster is touring communities throughout the district to hear from local officials about the needs and interests of their communities.

“I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with Mayor Tully and Mayor Claar today and learn more about the history and future of economic development in their communities,” said Foster.  “As the Representative of the 11th Congressional District of Illinois, my priority is to do everything possible to build stronger communities and more opportunity for our district – getting feedback and guidance from local officials is critical to that process.”
