Millions of Americans joined "No King" rallies across the United States Saturday to protest President Donald Trump and his administration's policies.

The organizers' crowd count, not verified by independent analysts, put the total at a historic 8 million people, with 3,300 events scheduled nationwide. Notable attendees included actor Robert De Niro and musician Bruce Springsteen.

Several Illinois officials also joined in on local rallies, voicing their support for protesters statewide. Here are some honorable mentions.

Mayor Brandon Johnson

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson shared pictures of him speaking and marching at the "No Kings" rally in Chicago, including the following caption on X: "No War. No ICE. No Oligarchs. No Kings."

Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton

Lieutenant Governor of Illinois and Democratic Senate candidate Juliana Stratton shared images of her speaking at the rally in Chicago as well.

"I was proud to stand with so many Illinoisans today to say: NO KINGS!" Stratton said on X. "We will not bend the knee to a wannabe dictator, and we will hold Donald Trump accountable. Let’s keep making our voices heard!"

Rep. Bill Foster

Democratic Rep. Bill Foster shared pictures of him visiting and speaking with demonstrators at rallies in Romeoville, Bolingbrook and Naperville.

"The peaceful protests across Illinois and the country are a powerful reminder that democracy is worth defending," Foster wrote on X. "No kings in America. Not now, not ever."

Rep. Eric Sorenson

Democratic Rep. Eric Sorenson shared a video on X of him visiting a rally in Washington, D.C.

Sorenson said he planned to participate in demonstrations back home, but was brought to D.C. to vote with the House on the Department of Homeland Security shutdown.

Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias

Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias joined the Service Employees International Union at a rally in Chicago.

"Proud to march with my brothers & sisters of @SEIULocal1," Giannoulias wrote on X. "#NoKings."
