Foster Legislation Adopted in Bipartisan JOBS and Investor Confidence Act
WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, Congressman Bill Foster announced that two of his bills were adopted in the final version of the JOBS and Investor Confidence Act. The Options Markets Stability Act and the Cooperate with Law Enforcement Agencies and Watch Act would strengthen the financial system and help businesses access capital to grow the economy.
“As an original co-author of the Dodd-Frank Act, our response to the financial crisis created new regulations to stabilize our financial system and prevented another financial collapse. I am proud to work on bipartisan legislation to make sure that businesses have access to the tools they need to thrive,” Foster said. “This legislation will go far to create jobs in Illinois, and I thank my colleagues in Congress for working together to make our economy stronger.”
The JOBS 3.0 and Investor Confidence Act is the House amendment to S. 488, the Encouraging Employee Ownership Act. It passed the Senate in September 2017.
