Foster Statement on Continuing Resolution Vote

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) issued the following statement:

“Today, I voted against the Republican funding bill. For months, Democrats have been ready to work across the aisle to craft a bipartisan funding bill that strengthens the health, safety, and economic well-being of the American people. Instead, Republicans have doubled down on their reckless cuts to health care—the largest in American history—and are refusing to extend ACA enhanced premium tax credits that over 20 million Americans depend on to afford coverage.”
