Washington, DC — Today, Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) issued the following statement:

"Out of respect for the Office of the Presidency, I will attend today’s inauguration of the 47th president of the United States. The peaceful transfer of power between presidents—regardless of the political party in control—is the bedrock of our democracy and must be preserved at all costs."
