Foster Statement on Mueller Summary Report

March 25, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) issued the following statement on Attorney General William Barr's summary letter of the Mueller report:

"Attorney General William Barr's summary letter makes it clear that Robert Mueller's report and underlying data should be made available to Congress and to the public with only minimal redactions for national security reasons. Robert Mueller's investigation into possible collusion and obstruction of justice was a necessary and important part of the process to fully understand what happened during the 2016 presidential election. We have waited patiently for this report, and Congress and the American public deserve to be able to review it fully on its own merit – not through the words and actions of political appointees like Attorney General Barr."
