A little more than two months before Election Day, several local congressional Democrats joined the U.S. secretary of labor in Chicago on Thursday to tout the Biden administration's efforts to help blue-collar workers and retirees while rallying union support as Illinois prepares to vote on a referendum that would guarantee employees the right to organize and bargain collectively.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) released the following statement after President Biden announced his plan to cancel $10,000 of student loan debt for borrowers making less than $125,000, and $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients:
"I applaud President Biden's action to provide much-needed breathing room for countless student loan borrowers. Student debt is a serious economic burden for far too many Americans, and we must do all we can to support them as our nation recovers from the economic repercussions of the pandemic.
In the age of increasing government digital services, Rep. Bill Foster (D-Ill.) is zeroing in on the question of digital identity – how do you know that someone is who they say they are online.

During a ceremony Tuesday celebrating the life of his father, Brian Dolan summed everything up succinctly.
