Constituent Advocate

Congressman Bill Foster seeks a full-time Constituent Advocate for his Illinois Office.

The Constituent Advocate will be responsible for managing a casework portfolio that includes the Veterans Affairs Administration, Social Security, and the IRS. This position will also occasionally staff the Congressman at outreach events, represent the Office at community meetings, and plan outreach events.

Applicants must bring an entrepreneurial spirit to a fast-paced office and demonstrate pro-active initiative. Applicants must work well under pressure, have excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent customer service skills. The position requires organization and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Applicants with IL-11 ties and casework, social work, government, or similar experience are a plus. Must live in or be willing to relocate to Illinois. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.

Salary range is $60,000 - $70,000 annually commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes health insurance, retirement match, student loan repayment program and more.
