"For years, this competition has highlighted the talent of young artists in our district," Foster said. "I look forward to seeing the artwork on display in my offices and in the tunnel of the Capitol building every time I go to vote."

Washington, DC—Today, Congressman Bill Foster announced that DuPage County will be receiving a $2.7 million Hazard Mitigation Grant from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to fund the acquisition and demolition of 13 flood prone residential properties.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to speak out against the latest budget proposal from House Republicans.

When Bill Clinton left office in 2001, our government was running a surplus, and on track to pay down our national debt to ZERO by 2009.

Washington, DC – Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) and Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-21) have reintroduced the Protecting Immigrants from Legal Exploitation Act to shield immigrants from fraudulent and unethical legal representation. The legislation outlines specific penalties for "notarios" who intentionally mislead immigrants by providing fraudulent services. It also provides immigrants with the opportunity to resubmit application materials completed by fraudulent attorneys.
