“I am proud to support this bipartisan legislation which will work to ensure that all victims of domestic and sexual violence are protected under the law. I am especially proud to see bipartisan support to extend these protections to include Native Americans, immigrants and the LGBT community, because all Americans -- no matter who they are, where they came from, or who they love – deserve equal protection.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) voted in favor of House Resolution 77, the Academic Competition Resolution of 2013 which creates a national academic competition for stem fields.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Bill Foster announced his staff will continue mobile office service in Woodridge. The mobile office will run from Monday, February 25 through Friday, March 8 and will be open to any 11th District resident needing assistance.
This is the fifth temporary office location that Congressman Foster has opened in the district. Permanent office locations in Aurora and Joliet will be announced soon.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) met with Downers Grove Mayor Martin Tully and Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar. Foster toured the Village of Downers Grove with Mayor Tully and local officials including Fire Chief James Jackson, Chief of Police Robert Porter and Village Manager David Fieldman.
On his tour of Downers Grove, Foster examined some of the community’s innovative green energy initiatives including solar powered light posts and alternative energy vehicle fleet.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) announced that Keith Bryant, a student trustee at Joliet Junior College, will be his guest for the State of the Union address.
Joliet Junior College (JJC) is America’s first public community college. JJC provides vocational training, adult education and literacy programs and pre-baccalaureate courses.

“Congress has repeatedly shown bipartisan opposition to attempts to end Saturday mail service. Millions of small businesses, seniors and others rely on Saturday service and it should not be first on the chopping block to solve the financial problems the USPS faces.
