Joliet, IL – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) joined protesters in Joliet where he called for comprehensive immigration reform. Foster released the following statement on today’s rally:
[AURORA, IL] – U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and U.S. Representative Bill Foster (D-IL-11) today met with current and former students at Aurora University who have benefitted from the Obama Administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. DACA, which is modeled after Durbin’s DREAM Act, allows young immigrants brought to the United States as children a chance to apply for a two-year renewable work permit and exemption from deportation.
Washington, DC—This Thursday, April 4th at 4:30 CDT, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of his new Congressional office in Aurora. Congressman Foster will open a second office in Joliet on April 30. Details to follow.
