Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) cosponsored the Visa Waiver Program Enhanced Security and Reform Act introduced by Illinois Congressmen Mike Quigley (D-IL), Aaron Schock (R-IL) and Senator Mark Kirk (R-IL). The bill would open up the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to include allies like Poland while enhancing national security and streamlining the process.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Tuesday, January 29, 2013 marks the 4th anniversary of the signing of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. The act reversed a Supreme Court decision that restricted a woman's ability to challenge pay discrimination in the workplace. The Act, which Congressman Foster voted for during the 111th Congress, was the first piece of legislation signed into law by President Obama.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Bill Foster announced his staff will continue mobile office service at a new location in Aurora. The mobile office will run from Monday, January 28 through Friday, February 8 and will be open to any 11th District resident needing assistance.

This is the third temporary office location that Congressman Foster has opened in the district. Permanent office locations in Aurora and Joliet will be announced soon.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) released the following statement on his vote to support the Republican proposal to raise the debt ceiling for the next three months.

"We need a long term solution to address the national debt, not more short term fixes as House Republicans presented today, however, I voted for the temporary debt limit suspension because protecting the full faith and credit of the United States government is our most important obligation.

Newly sworn-in U.S. Rep. Bill Foster sees several problems facing the Fox Valley — a loss of manufacturing jobs, cuts in federal research money and Illinois' dwindling share of revenue from the federal government.

Speaking at the Naperville Chamber of Commerce's legislative luncheon Monday at the Hotel Arista, Foster characterized Illinois as a "donor state," and said, "That's not OK with me."

The first location will run from Monday, January 14th through Friday, January 18th and will be open to any 11th District resident needing assistance.

U.S. Rep. Bill Foster is launching the first of his planned mobile offices for the new 11th Congressional District.

The first location will be offered next week, Monday through Friday, at the Naperville Township Administration Building. The new 11th District serves parts of Naperville, Aurora, Plainfield and Joliet.

This is the first temporary office location Foster will open in the district. Permanent offices in Aurora and Joliet will be announced soon, Foster said.
