"While I voted to avoid another costly government shutdown, I am disappointed that House Republicans continue to govern from crisis to crisis. This bill will only fund the government through December 11, setting us up for yet another potential shutdown at the end of the year.

The detention bed quota, which requires U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to maintain an average of 34,000 immigrant detainees each day, comes at a great cost to taxpayers, families, and communities.
Joliet, IL – Today, Congressman Bill Foster announced that Joliet Junior College (JJC) will receive a $413,956 grant through the Strengthening Institutions Program of the United States Department of Education.

The bill is the House version of a Senate bill recently introduced by Senators Cory Booker and Tim Scott.
