Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Bill Foster commended the Senate for voting 64-32 in favor of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). The law would provide basic protections against workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Naperville, IL – Today, Congressman Bill Foster released the following statement after the Illinois state legislature passed SB10, allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry:
"This is an important moment for civil rights in Illinois. I am very pleased that Illinois has joined 15 other states in allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry. Everyone – no matter who they are, where they came from, or who they love – deserves equal rights under the law."

Washington, DC— In a joint letter, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11), Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL-16) and Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-2) urged the members of the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to include the Illiana Expressway in the GO TO 2040 plan.
