Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) announced a mobile Fab Lab will be coming to Aurora and Joliet. The Fab Lab is a state-of-the-art fabrication laboratory in which children and adults can invent, design and manufacture products ranging from tools to artwork to robot parts.

Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) announced that the Will County Community Health Center in Joliet and VNA Health Care in Aurora have been awarded $411,659 in funding from the Department of Health and Human Services. The Will County Community Health Center was awarded $147,795 while VNA Health Care was awarded $263, 864.

Washington, D.C.— Today, Congressman Bill Foster voted against H.R. 2642, the Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management Act (FARRM Act). The bill will, for the first time in 40 years, sever the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) from the farm bill. The SNAP program helps feed millions of children, seniors and families in the United States.

Washington, D.C.—Last night, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) introduced an amendment to reverse funding cuts to the Office of Science within the Department of Energy (DOE). The budget proposed by House Republicans would cut funding for the Office of Science by $500 million below President Obama’s request for the next fiscal year.
