Washington, DC— Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) is continuing to call for a long-term transportation funding bill. Foster voted for H.R. 3038, the Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2015, a short-term fix that will extend the Highway Trust Fund through December.
Washington, DC— Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) released the following statement on the announcement of a proposed nuclear agreement with Iran:
"I commend President Obama, Secretary Kerry, and Secretary Moniz for their tireless efforts that have led to this historic agreement.
"A nuclear armed Iran is not acceptable. As the only Ph.D. scientist in Congress, I will continue to be fully engaged on the Congressional oversight of the technical details of the proposed Iran nuclear agreement.

In the last year, we have seen far too many examples of conflict and violence in our communities.
Washington, DC— Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) voted against Fast Track trade authority for the second time.
Washington, DC— Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) voted against Fast Track trade authority.
Washington, DC— As the House prepares to consider Fast Track trade authority, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) wrote Speaker Boehner and Leader Pelosi urging them to include strong, enforceable rules on currency manipulation in the Trade Promotion Authority ("TPA") legislation.
Washington, DC—Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) advocated for the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank at a Financial Services Committee hearing. During the hearing, Foster questioned Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im Bank) Chairman and President Fred P. Hochberg. If Congress doesn't act in the next 14 legislative days, the Bank will shut down.
